Head of Fundraising Innovation and Improvement

The Head of Fundraising Innovation and Improvement is accountable for driving innovation, and identifying opportunities to diversity and grow our income to enable Teach First to double its voluntary income within the next five years. The role of Head of Fundraising Innovation and Improvement is key to enabling us to diversify our income at Teach First. The post holder will create a hub of innovation, incubating new ideas from inception to pilot before transitioning them into business as usual disciplines. In addition to innovation, the post will also ensure excellence in fundraising at Teach First, overseeing the effective operations of all systems and processes. This is a great opportunity to transform the fundraising model at Teach First, build a culture of innovation and equip the organisation with a long-term sustainable income model.

Local Engagement Officer (FTC)

Location: South West
 
The Local Engagement Officer (LEO) is accountable for achieving our ambitious ambassador (alumni) targets for the Local Area by utilising best practise to engage individuals and groups with the Teach First vision through their professional and voluntary roles.  The Local Engagement Officer will be the main point of contact for ambassadors within the Local Area, connecting them with each other and Teach First to showcase their work and to provide support for shared interest and networking groups.

Public Affairs Officer (FTC)

Location: London 
 
The Public Affairs Officer will help deliver Teach First’s government relations and policy influencing work. They will be responsible for supporting work to build and maintain relationships with key political and policy stakeholders including the Department for Education, local English MPs, think tanks, unions and the Welsh Government. They will help build awareness and support of our work, influence policy to support young people from low income communities and play a key role delivering the public affairs activities of Teach First’s social mobility campaign in 2017.

Ambassadors Coordinator (FTC)

As Ambassador Coordinator you will be central to the work of the Ambassador Team. The Ambassador Team support the longer term impact of our Ambassador network (alumni who have completed the Teach First programme) by providing world class support and services, including careers support. You will provide proactive, high-quality administrative and customer service support to a wide variety of essential projects within the Ambassador Team. You will manage high volumes of online content, field enquiries, and enable the team and programmes to operate effectively. This role will be key to providing excellent customer service, and access to clear and accessible content for our ambassadors.

HR Team Coordinator

The role of HR Team Coordinator is varied and you can expect to gain exposure to the full employee lifecycle and develop a good understanding of Human Resources systems and processes. You will be working within the HR Operations teams and it will your responsibility to ensure that all admin processes are followed through efficiently, timely and achieved to high quality standards. You will also work with the talent management team to ensure the recruitment process is run as smoothly and effectively as possible, and all candidates have a positive experience.

Financial Accountant

Working within the finance team, the ideal candidate for this pivotal role will help run the Financial Accounting functions to ensure that we are producing accurate, timely and useful monthly and annual reporting. The role will lead on the production and audit of the annual statutory accounts, and be able to understand VAT to complete quarterly returns. The finance team is going through a period of transformation to be able to meet the requirements of our growing organisation. The ideal candidate will; (i) ensure that financial processes & controls are reviewed, maintained and improved, (ii) possess the skills to motivate other team members, and (iii) detailed technical experience of accounting under UK GAAP.

School Pathway Project Officer

The School Pathway Project Officer will manage and ensure the effective delivery of the School Pathway, Teach First’s career development offer for ambassadors in schools. The role holder will provide guidance to internal colleagues, communicate with school Pathway participants, manage day-to-day queries and support the delivery of school Pathway events.

Pupil Progression Manager

The purpose of the Pupil Progression Manager is to set the strategy and design of Teach First pupil facing programmes, to ensure more free school meal pupils progress to university year on year. This is about delivering the current model of Futures and scoping what the potential is to redesign and scale our pupil intervention to ensure that it is the best way to contribute to narrowing the gap in university progression to the most selective institutions. This will require work with internal and external stakeholders to identify where other interventions in the pupil journey would positively impact on pupil progression.
