Volunteer as an ambassador

Ready to become an ambassador volunteer?

Just takes a few minutes to complete this form:

Apply now

Once you're signed up as an ambassador volunteer, we’ll keep you posted of voluntary opportunities that match your skills and interests.

Remember to keep your personal and career details up-to-date so that we can match you with the most appropriate opportunities. To update your details, get in touch with us at ambassadors@teachfirst.org.uk.

As an ambassador, your commitment to our mission will improve the lives of thousands of children. There are lots of great ways for you to get involved:

Volunteer with a school in your community

Even if you don’t teach any more, give some of your time and volunteer with a school. It’s a great way to stay connected with education. And you’ll be helping to unlock the potential in young people

Help us to fundraise so that we can continue our work

There are countless ways you can fundraise for us. And any contribution you can make will help transform the lives of the UK’s poorest children.

Offer one-to-one support

Your support can be crucial in helping our trainees and others on our programmes develop into talented teachers and leaders. It’s a great way to share your expertise and help others to grow professionally. Register your interest using the forms below.

Share your story and inspire others

Tell others about your experience in education and your words will inspire. Speak at Teach First events, motivate our supporters, or talk to young people.

Host a school visit

Invite pupils to your workplace and open their eyes to careers they may have never considered before. It’s a great opportunity to give them a new perspective and inspire them to aim high.

Become a school governor

School governors play a vital role in schools. Volunteering as a governor is a fantastic way to develop leadership skills, gain insight into school management and network with leaders in the field.

  1. When you’re ready to make the next step, you can get further support from Governors for Schools, who have helped hundreds of ambassadors to become governors.
