Complaints Policy
Our Complaints Policy is designed to help us address concerns or dissatisfaction you may have about the standards of service, actions, or lack of action by Teach First, our staff, or anyone else directly involved in the delivery of our work. The Complaints Policy and Procedure are available to all stakeholders including staff, programme members, and partners. Complaints will be handled in a fair, consistent, and timely way. The Complaints Policy provides guidance for submitting a complaint.

Safeguarding Policy
We are committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults, and to taking the necessary steps to protect people who come into contact with our organisation from harm. This policy outlines the safeguarding procedures and responsibilities in place to ensure that all safeguarding concerns and disclosures are handled appropriately.
If you have a safeguarding concern, please contact us using any of these options:
If there is an immediate risk of significant harm, contact the police and notify the Child Safeguarding Officer (020 3862 8066/07725 539975) as soon as possible.
In non-emergency situations, email the required details to the child safeguarding inbox (childsafeguarding@teachfirst.org.uk). Please refer to the Safeguarding Policy for further details on making a disclosure.
Whistleblowing Policy
Teach First recognises that public interest disclosures (also known as “whistleblowing”) play a vital role in protecting its own interests, those of its staff and programme members, and those of the public by helping to identify and combat illegal, unethical and corrupt practices. Disclosures can be about something that has occurred in the past, is happening now, or you believe will happen in the future. Reporting these concerns to us enables us to take corrective action. If you are worried about something you have seen or heard, our Whistleblowing Policy and Procedure provides guidance on how to lodge a concern.
If you wish to disclosure a whistleblowing concern, please complete this form and a dedicated member of the team will be in touch within 3-5 days.
Appeals Policy
This form is for programme members who are unhappy with an outcome under the Initial Teacher Training assessment procedures and would like to appeal against a decision taken under one of the following policies or procedures:
- Suitability to Teach
